Item Description
Fascinating and artistic large bi-colored fluorite from the well-known fluorite deposits at Muzquiz. Dramatic, densely intergrown light purple fluorite cubes have striking stepped-growth faces accented by darker violet edge phantoms. The impressive central compound cube is 5.3 cm across. The underlying massive fluorite is gray. Purple fluorescence. This is a classic and excellent style of fluorite from this noted Mexican locale. This surreal piece reminds me of a lithograph from famed graphic artist, M.C. Escher.
