Item Description

A very fine, polychrome, doubly terminated, floater, translucent/gemmy tourmaline from the famous Himalaya Mine. Both lustrous terminations have a matte finish and are a dark olive-green on the glassy, well-striated trigonal crystal. A gorgeous, gem, 5 mm, apple-green zone underlies one end. Deceptively, the apple-green turns the upper part of the classic "Himalaya pink" zone yellow! The lower half of the crystal is variable light olive-green above the 4 mm, gem, bottle-green section. Complete all-around and nearly pristine, with only trivial edge wear on both ends. Classic older material from the 1980s finds. Comes with a custom-made and engraved lucite base valued at $145, for free. 49 grams mass. Valued at $2000.
