Item Description
A stunning and RARE large bi-colored celestine specimen from this obscure quarry near the famous Maybee Quarry. Mineral specimens of any variety are rare from here. The utterly sharp demarcation between the striking, dense multitude of jagged, ivory-colored, parallel-growth terminations and the beautiful, translucent ice-blue of the body is a joy to behold. Yes, the piece does have some issues, mainly the cleaving and bruising on the right side. The broken terminations on the back left of the piece are barely noticeable. These have very minimal impact to the dramatic and excellent quality of this very fine large rarity from the Robert Nowakowski Collection. Value?? A MUST for the species or locality collector.
