Bi-colored Apophyllite and Stilbite (Smale Coll.)

Item Description

A striking and beautiful combination specimen from recent finds at Jalgaon. An impressive 3.7 x 2.4 cm, blocky, very glassy apophyllite crystal has colorless sides with an olive-green core. It is transparent to translucent. The crystal is aesthetically nestled on matrix with two smaller apophyllites and beautiful, pearlescent, salmon-pink stilbite blades. The large cube has modified corners and is pristine. I obtained this very fine specimen in a large trade with Steve Smale a number of years ago. A top-flight Jalgaon combination specimen in this size range with these species.
