Item Description

A striking and aesthetic, radial cluster of very glassy, bi-colored, apophyllite crystals from recent finds at Jalgaon. The blocky, pinacoidal crystals have pretty, mint-green lower sections with colorless uppers. The colorless, upper sections are transparent to translucent. Three, snow-white sprays of scolecite needles are a nifty accent. Complete all-around. The one cleaved termination near the center is noted, but in the overall context of this very showy piece, is a modest, barely noticeable detraction. A high quality, seldom-seen apophyllite varietal from Jalgaon.
