Bi-color Tourmaline (8.25 grams)

Here we have a wonderful thumbnail sized, beautiful bi-colored pink and blue Tourmaline crystal from the famous Cruzeiro Mine. The crystal has excellent glistening luster along the prism faces though the termination is a bit more textured with a matte luster. When backlit, you can see the wonderful internal gemminess and wonderful combinations of colors. The base features a lovely pink "core" which is surrounded by gemmy blue "Indicolite" which transitions into a solid blue color in the upper portion and finished off with a lovely pink basal "cap". There is a small imperfection on the edge of the termination, but no other real damage that I can see with the naked eye. Countless thousands of collectors love Tourmaline for their beautiful colors and the fact that they are one of few naturally bi-colored (or multi-colored) minerals in the world.
