Item Description

Betafite and fluorapatite combinations are uncommon and desirable from this well-known locale. A sharp, 4 cm, modified brown betafite crystal is aesthetically set on two lustrous, parallel-growth, hexagonal, fluorapatite sections. A bit of rubbing is noted on the top edge of the betafite, but is certainly acceptable in the context of this rare and fine combo. Most specimens of this quality came out in the 1950s, during the active mining period. Ex Bob Trimingham Collection.
