Item Description

A striking, very showy and rich combination specimen from the famous Florence Mine. Gemmy, very glassy, beta-type smoky quartz crystals to 2.2 cm richly and attractively cover the mounded hematite matrix covered with scintillating, silvery metallic plates of specularite hematite. These very fine smokies have variable hues, including colorless. Classic and fine material recovered in the early 1970s mining operations. The primary smokies are in great shape, with only a couple of very trivial bruised crystal tips.
