Item Description

Gemmy, very glassy, beta-style quartz crystals to 1.3 cm are aesthetically clustered across the plate of scintillating silvery metallic plates of specularite hematite. The matrix plate is classic massive, botryoidal, hematite kidney ore. The quartz crystals are all pristine. Classic material recovered in the early 1970s mining operations. Ex Raymond Clements Collection, Chief Surveyor of the Florence Mine and Ralph Sutcliffe Collection, noted English collector and dealer. Choice combination material. It displays well from either side.
