Item Description

A striking, very showy and rich combination specimen from the famous Florence Mine. Scintillating, silvery metallic plates of specularite hematite line sculptural vugs in the massive hematite matrix. Textbook, sharp, glassy, beta-quartz-type crystals are scattered in the vugs. Classic material recovered in the early 1970s mining operations. Ex Ralph Sutcliffe Collection, noted English collector and dealer.
