Item Description
Glassy, gemmy and lustrous, di-pyramidal, "beta-style" Quartz crystals are aesthetically distributed on sparkly, bladed, black Hematite. This classic and showy specimen is from the famous Florence Mine of Egremont, England. The Quartz crystals reach up to 2.1 cm, tip to tip. They look like beta Quartz (a special heat-induced and unusual crystallographic form of Quartz), but really aren't, despite most of us thinking so. The matrix below is the form of Hematite known as 'Kidney Ore', and flipping it over you can see the concave representation of the kidney ore, decorated with Specularite. An excellent specimen in every regard. valued $1000
