Item Description
Beryllonite is a rare sodium, beryllium phosphate found in granitic and alkali pegmatites. This rare and showy Nyet-Bruk combination piece is highlighted by the isolated, 2.3 cm widem, stepped-growth beryllonite on the left shoulder of the very glassy quartz crystal with the striking, sharp, water-clear termination. Parallel-growth, tabular cleavelandites with a secondary overgrowth and a rare cluster of schorl fragments partially hidden in a cleft round out this fine rarity. Periphery wear is noted on the back of quartz, left edge of the piece and to the sidecar quartz by the large quartz termination, but this remains an excellent example of this very rare combination from this locale.
