Item Description
Pearlescent, translucent, columnar beryllonite crystals form a striking jackstraw specimen on this choice example from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Beryllonite is a rare sodium, beryllium phosphate found in granitic and alkali pegmatites. The crystals appear to be terminated all the way around and have only a trivial bit of periphery wear. Herb valued this fine piece at $550, more than five years ago. Recent finds have not produced this quality, and I have seen lesser material priced at twice that old value.
