This excellent miniature matrix specimen is a glassy, gemmy, transparent to translucent, pretty pink, 2.8 cm, tabular morganite crystal with fine color, perched smartly on a albite crystal with muscovite. Both faces are sharp and smooth like glass, showing very little of the typical etching one normally sees in morganites from here. As is typical for this locality, edge faces are glassy, etched and frosted. The gemmy frontal face is very well exposed on this cutie. You can look right through part of it! The bit of bruising on the left edge is noted, but is certainly a modest detraction. An uncommon value for the size and quality. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock. He valued this at $200, five or more years ago. It is certainly worth more today!
