Item Description
A full-sized thumbnail specimen of what are some of the most well-known and classic Morganites in the world. Before Morganite was discovered in Afghanistan, the only two places in the world that produced exemplary specimens San Diego County, California, and various localities in Minas Gerais Brazil. The Afghani Morganites are certainly among the finest examples of this pink Beryl variety. This piece is a full-sized thumbnail featuring a stout, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, rich pink colored hexagonal crystal of Morganite with minor associated white Albite, pale silvery colored Muscovite and minor black Schorl. The piece is in good shape overall, though there is a bit of peripheral roughness, so it's not 100% pristine. From the dealer stock of Herb Obodda.
