Item Description
Golden Beryl crystals are not common from New England pegmatites and this is a good example from this classic old mine. This nearly two-inch, translucent orangy crystal does have several somewhat gemmy areas internally and although the prism faces are fairly well developed, but it is not terminated. It also has one (old, mine-run) repair across the center of the crystal. 32 grams. From the diverse and historic collection of one of the great field collectors and mineralogists of mid-1900s Texas, Albert Kidwell of Houston (1919-2008), after whom the mineral Kidwellite is named.
