Item Description

Most of the pieces from the famous gem mining district of Padre Paraiso that we have ever seen are long and elongated. I have seldom seen "small" crystals that are also broad and fat (and thus not just the broken tips off of longer crystals). This is a particularly gemmy, golden crystal with great clarity. It has a very subtle 4-5 mm pale goshenite/aquamarine cap on it that is white or very pale blue, and came from the same pocket here that produced a group of aquamarines that I bought circa 2010, but you'd think it came from another mine altogether. The body is rich and vibrant yellow, and totally transparent! This is a very fine gem crystal, unusual for the termination and style, valued $1500-2000
