Beryl var: Heliodor

Item Description

This is a wonderful stout / thick euhedral crystal of soft golden colored Heliodor, dating back many decades from Brazil. The piece has wonderful internal gemminess, and the front-facing basal termination is rather glassy. This is natural, unheated / untreated Heliodor, and you don't see a lot of these crystals from Brazil on the market, let alone such robust examples as this. The back of the crystal is contacted, but you can't see it when the piece is displayed, and there are is a bit of roughness in a few other spots, but it's still an impressive piece, and frankly better quality than most of what you'll find from Brazil for sale on the market these days. Specimen weight is 180.8 grams. Valued $2,500.
