A showy and old style small cabinet combination from famed Mt. Xuebaoding, known for both of these species but rarely together. The locality is famous for tabular beryl and richly colored scheelite crystals. Six glassy, lustrous, transparent to translucent, tabular hexagonal beryl variety goshenite (colorless) crystals are aesthetically set on the sculptural sawed pearlescent muscovite matrix. The impressive, large dominating beryl is 5.0 cm across. Two classic, glassy, gemmy, rich golden-yellow pseudo-hexagonal tetragonal scheelite crystals are partially hidden behind the large goshenite, adding artistic character. The large doubly terminated scheelite is 2.8 cm on edge. All of the crystals are pristine. Ghostly white scheelite fluorescence. Material of this quality is no longer coming out of this locale. Ex Hefendehl Collection. Kurt Hefendehl was a most well-known collector in the mineral world all over Europe with worldwide contacts to dealers and collectors. He started seriously collecting in the age of 14 and his great and various worldwide collection reached a number of over 6000 pieces. He was incredibly mineralogically active, until shortly before his passing in 2020 in the age of 82 years. His collection had, considering that high number of pieces, an unusual high quality standard from most worldwide localities. He particularly specialized in all classics; and the minerals of the Black Forest where he spent many visits collecting (that and the Germany subcollection went to his good friend Wolfgang Wendel.
