Item Description
Beryl variety goshenite (colorless) prisms from the Pech area are RARE. This outstanding and aesthetic combination specimen is highlighted by the dramatically placed, front and center, 2.7 cm, doubly terminated goshenite. The translucent, lustrous, textbook hexagonal prism has frosted faces and a water-clear, glassy termination. The sculptural matrix of jackstraw books of pearlescent muscovite books is well-accented by the cluster of cherry-red spessartine garnets, to 7 mm, and scattered schorl crystals. The goshenite is pristine. An exceptional and rare combination specimen from the Herb Obodda dealer stock. Herb valued this fine piece at $650, more than five years ago. It is certainly worth more today, say $800-1000.
