Item Description
A showy, three-dimensional association specimen featuring several sharp, lustrous, translucent, colorless hexagonal prisms of Goshenite Beryl which are intergrown with a heavily striated group of highly lustrous Foitite Tourmaline crystals. The Foitites appear to be mostly black in color, but with strong backlighting, I can see a bit of a silvery-lilac hue in areas. The piece is crystallized on all sides, and I can't find any real damage, though there are some spots of embedded pocket clay where the crystals are not fully terminated. The largest Beryl crystal measures 2.3 cm long and the largest Tourmaline is 1.3 cm in length. Valued at $900. From the Collection of Shields Flynn.
