Item Description

Beryl crystals are seldom seen from the Himalaya Mine, and this piece is one of the better examples that we've ever had to offer from this famed locale. This piece is a heavily etched, lustrous, gemmy, colorless crystal section of Goshenite Beryl, free of matrix. There are a few remaining exterior hexagonal faces on the front of the specimen, and the back of the piece features beautiful ethereal etched formations. A beautiful and fine quality example that would make a great addition to any suite of Himalaya Mine minerals. From the collection of Bill Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer as well as a miner and collector. Bill is synonymous with minerals of San Diego County, and owned and operated famous mines such as the Stewart Lithia, the Tourmaline Queen, the Pala Chief and the Himalaya, producing some of the most iconic mineral specimens to come out of the area during the 1970s-1980s.
