Beryl var. Emerald with Scheelite

Item Description

This specimen features a gorgeous, lustrous pale-green emerald pocket with scheelite, set in a mica-schist matrix typical of emerald formation through metamorphic fluids derived from metasediments. Due to this geological process, most of these emeralds are rich in inclusions, and well-formed pockets are extremely rare, similar to those found in Brazil and Ethiopia. This piece is an exceptional miniature combination from a well-known Chinese emerald-producing locale. The cavernous vug reveals a remarkable thick, massive, and transparent emerald vein, complemented by tiny scheelites as a superb accessory phase.
