Beryl var: Emerald

Item Description

A beautiful older (1990s) Emerald crystal from the famed Jos Plateau in Nigeria. This slender prismatic crystal of vibrant pastel green colored Emerald is sharp, lustrous, well-formed and has a beautiful pyramidal termination, which is not common for Emerald, as they typically have flat basal terminations, but Jos Emeralds are typically seen with pyramidal terminations. The crystal is in great shape with no major damage and it's rather gemmy to boot. The specimen weighs 1.82 grams (9.10 carats) for reference. A lovely gem crystal specimen from this famous locality, and a great piece for any thumbnail collector or a fan of Beryls or Emeralds.
