An attractive and contrasting pegmatite combo piece from Erongo. A stout Schorl crystal serves as the base for a light, sky-blue Aquamarine crystal on this well-composed and balanced miniature. The jet-black Schorl measures 5 cm in length and arguably could be considered doubly terminated given its completely contrasting termination types at either end. It has a pyramidal termination at one end and complex, corrugated termination at the other and is finely striated along its entire length. A glassy, sky-blue, mostly gemmy, Aquamarine crystal is growing out of prism faces at an acute angle and measures 2.3 cm in length and has a perfect hexagonal outline and an absolutely flat and glassy pinacoid termination. A nicely composed Erongo piece!
