Item Description
A beautiful, modified prism of Aquamarine from the well-known Shengus locality in Pakistan. The prism faces have very good luster and sharp edges, and they are a good complement to the modified pyramidal termination, which is equally glassy. The powder-blue color is attractive and easy on the eyes. Unexpectedly, the cloudy core of the crystal provides a contrast to the gemmy portions that positively magnifies the gemminess and the color. It looks very much like one of those ice sculptures you have seen, with the water-clear ice having that cloudy core. Add in the blades of white Albite, and you have a very aesthetic and interesting miniature from this great locality. While so common in general, this is a memorable miniature.
