Item Description

Nicely emplaced on white albite matrix are two glassy and translucent, rich sky blue aqua crystals, standing up like towers! They reach to 7.5 cm in length. There is some very minor edge contact/damage on the terminal faces but this is greatly diminished by the fact they are on top and it can be displayed in a case at eye level, anyways. The dramatic nature of the piece also gives it some lift, as it is not the "usual sort" of aesthetic. The unusual flattened growth behind the towers, and the spacing between, where the two crystals look like they have been cut vertically in half, is really just shocking. I admit, at first glance, you think this must be repaired but it is NOT. It is intact and free of repair or restoration, remarkably, for such aesthetic and freestanding crystals. There are also patches of drusy muscovite mica that sparkle by way of accent. A fabulous small cabinet piece, valued $5000-6000, from old finds here.
