Item Description

A beautiful large miniature / small cabinet display specimen featuring a pair of very gemmy, lustrous, prismatic, pale blue colored Aquamarine crystals measuring up to 4.4 cm, flaring off of white Albite matrix with "rosettes" of Muscovite. No damage, and very showy. Pakistan has produced a large percentage of the best matrix Aquamarine specimens ever found, and pieces like this might seem commonplace these days, but keep in mind that prior to the discoveries in the Shigar Valley, it's was honestly quite rare to find GEM quality crystals of Aquamarine on matrix like this.
From the collection of Bill ("Burma Bill") Larson of Fallbrook, California. Bill is a well-known gem and mineral dealer (Pala International) as well as a miner and collector. Bill traveled the world for decades in search of fine gems and minerals, and was directly involved in the in-person acquisition and importation of superb specimens from many important gem-producing localities.
