Attractive and impressive, this remarkably uniform cluster of Aquamarines is from the famous pegmatite mines near Gilgit. All these light-blue crystals are glassy and quite gemmy, particularly the upper halves. Even the terminations are glassy, and they are enhanced by beveled corners. The Aquas range up to 4 cm tall and 2.8 cm across. The associated Muscovites are sharp, bladed hexagons. The quality and aesthetics are very good, and it is even better in person, by far, as blue on blue on blue is hard to photograph. The piece looks good in photos and is even better inperson. This is a really fine example of this particular classic style and in a size and price range that many colelctors can own, but it is a just a bit better than most in terms of condition and aesthetics.
