Pakistan has been a source of excellent gem crystal specimens for over 30 years now, producing some of the finest, world-class specimens of Aquamarine ever found. The various pegmatite localities in this country have given collectors a plethora of fantastic specimens. Most people associate Pakistani Aquas with the Shigar Valley, but nearby in Nagar (Chumar Bakhoor), some really gorgeous pieces have been found for many years. This attractive and showy small cabinet sized specimen features a few sharp, glassy, GEMMY, soft blue color, hexagonal prismatic crystals of Aquamarine which are associated with beautiful bladed groups of silvery Muscovite. The largest Aquamarine crystal measures 4.3 cm and shows great optic clarity, bordering on nearly water clear in areas, while the smaller crystals are essentially 100% transparent. Each of the Aquamarine crystals show excellent basal terminations, with small pyramidal modifying faces. No major damage anywhere outside of the base of the piece, where it detached from the pocket wall. Classic material from Chumar Bakhoor. Priced at $2,000 in our inventory.
