Item Description
The photos convey well how unusual this piece is! The scepter is remarkably equant and well formed, without the etching that often accompanies sceptering in beryls. The color contrast, though, is what strikes you immediately. I have seen sceptered aquamarine from a number of locales and they always are aquamarine upon aquamarine....blue on blue. This heliodor tip, a distinct greenish-yellow in color, is highly unusual. The crystal is from the well-known African collection of longtime dealer and collector Charlie Key, which we purchased in 2006. At the beginning, we valued this at $3500 for its size, style, and unusual eye appeal. Custom base ($100 value) is included. 75 grams.
