Item Description

This is a beautiful specimen of gemmy Aquamarine from the famous Itatiaia Mine in Brazil. Sometimes this material is sold as "blue ice", and it's easy to see why. The piece almost looks like soft blue glass with beautiful etching patterns, giving it a completely unique appearance. The surface luster looks almost "wet" in areas, which only enhances the beautiful internal clarity. The piece still retains some crystallized faces, so there's a wonderful balance of crystallization and ethereal etching formations. Specimen weight is 31.13 grams. A fantastic and one-of-a-kind gem crystal specimen that would make a fine addition to any collection.
