Beryl var: Aquamarine (doubly-terminated crystals - ''floater'' specimen)

Item Description

A gorgeous and aesthetic display specimen from the renowned Shigar Valley in Pakistan featuring a pair of diverging, sharp, lustrous, gemmy, glassy, hexagonal prisms of Aquamarine ranging from a saturated blue color in the center to nearly colorless on the terminations, associated with accenting snow white crystals of Albite, a tiny bit of Muscovite, and no matrix. The piece is actually a complete "floater", as both crystals are doubly-terminated, and the back of the piece is complete, and partially re-crystallized ("re-healed") where the crystal group separated from the pocket wall. No damage that I can find, and so showy! A very aesthetic and excellent quality specimen of these now classic Aquamarines. Valued $4,500.
