Item Description
Chumar Bakhoor is a well-known locality for fine Aquamarine crystals, but this piece is not your typical specimen as it's nearly a complete "floater", and features multiple doubly-terminated crystals. There are several sharp, lustrous, translucent, pale blue colored, robust hexagonal prismatic crystals on the piece, intergrown to form a showy and aesthetic display specimen. Minor silver blades of Muscovite can be seen in a few spots for a nice touch. Overall the piece is in very good shape, but there is a separation mark on the second largest crystal (presumably where it was intergrown with another Aquamarine crystal), so it's not completely pristine. Interestingly, while the centers of the crystals (most notably on the largest crystal) are translucent, the ends are notably gemmier, with a defined line separating the translucent portion from the thin area with more clarity. Valued $1,200-$1,500.
