Item Description
Glassy and partially gemmy, this fine Aquamarine is from the Fano Mine in California. The blue-green color is attractive, and the upper half is gemmy with wispy veils swirling throughout, creating a nice character for this crystal. The Aqua has a sharp, smooth termination. This small mine has produced some of the finest gem Aqua crystals in San Diego, though only a few of them and only many years ago! 27 grams. From the extensive collection of Bob Reynolds, who cherished both minerals and fossils as he collected. Bob is a prolific author and has had several curating positions in museums.
