Beryl var: Aquamarine

Aquamarine crystals from various localities in Pakistan are certainly among the best-known examples of this blue variety of Beryl ever found. People marvel at the impressive amount of top quality crystals that have been found in the last 30 years. Most of what you'll see on the market comes out of the famous Shigar Valley but the nearby Chumar Bakhoor locality close to Nagar, is one of the most well-known localities for Aquamarine in Pakistan outside of Shigar. This piece features a glassy, very sharp and well-formed, textbook hexagonal prism with that classic icy blue color with a few accenting crystals around the periphery. No major damage, though there is some roughness on the lower portion where the piece was separated from the pocket wall. The crystals are VERY gemmy, and fine quality to boot with no major damage I can find. I love the small pyramidal modifications around the corners of the termination.
