Item Description
The Pingwu Mine in China is one of the most distinctive localities in the entire country. One of the most coveted minerals from this mine are the unusually tabular crystals of Beryl (Aquamarine and Goshenite). This small cabinet display specimen is filled with excellent, very sharp, highly lustrous, gemmy, pale blue tabular hexagonal crystals measuring up to 3.6 cm across, associated with stark white Feldspar (either Microcline or Albite), and very little matrix. Most of the Aquas are in great shape, though a few small nicks can be seen. Overall it's a very presentable and eye-catching example of these easily recognizable Aquamarine crystals from this prestigious locality. From the collection of Tim Sherburn.
