Item Description

Here we have a VERY hard to find specimen of Beryl from Calispell Peak, in Washington state. This specimens hosts a pair of sharp, well-formed, hexagonal, lustrous, prismatic crystals with a pale blue hue measuring up to 1.3 cm associated with beige feldspar and silvery mica. The terminations of the two crystals are in good shape, though the base of the crystals are incomplete at the point where they were removed from the pocket wall. This is the FIRST piece of Beryl that we've had to offer from this locality, and if you collect gem pegmatite minerals or minerals from Washington, this piece is a MUST HAVE for your collection. Ex Kay Robertson Collection (#11315). Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien Welt" November-December 2017).
