Item Description
A classic, old-time and unusually shaped beryl crystal from the famous pegmatites of the Portland area. This super sharp, textbook hexagonal crystal is unusually elongated on one axis. The beryl is a mottled pastel blue-green, has moderate luster and is partially translucent. Complete all-around and in great shape for such an old-timer, with only a couple of dinged termination edges. Specimens of this form, quality and color are very uncommon from here and this is a good one. From an East Coast collection and comes with a faded and torn label, that is probably 100-plus years old. value? hard to say - they are never for sale!
