Beryl & Muscovite in Quartz (old classic!) Robertson Coll.

Item Description

An OLD-TIME, classic beryl specimen from the historic pegmatites at Haddam. A 1.4 cm section of a lustrous, translucent multi-hued green beryl is nicely set on the edge of the blocky feldspar, lustrous platy green muscovite and smoky quartz granite pegmatite matrix. Sections of other beryls are scattered on the matrix. Ex Kay Robertson Collection # 11975 and acquired in Summer, 1989. Come with an OLD 1800s label. Kay is a prominent California collector, who specialized in European classics (see the article in the March-April, 2007 Mineralogical Record) and the 50+ page article in the German Magazine "Mineralien-Welt" November-December 2017). Classic old-time beryl.
