Item Description

Here we have a classic old time Beryl crystal from Medina. This piece is a very attractive, GEM quality, beautiful very soft greenish color, prismatic, etched "floater" crystal that is virtually 100% water clear. The piece was mined in 1974, and comes from the collection of Richard Kosnar (the namesake for the species Kosnarite), who had a strong presence in Brazil bringing back a large quantity of pegmatite minerals in the 1970s. This beautiful specimen would make a great addition to any gem crystal suite, or a collection of Brazilian minerals, especially since gem Aquas from Brazil are truly difficult to find on the market these days. Specimen weight is 16.45 carats.
