Item Description

From this classic old East Coast pegmatite, collected by Bob Whitmore, this is a huge heliodor for the locale. As with most of them from these pegmatites, it has a contacted termination (quite clearly so on one end). The other end is a termination ingrown with albite matrix -technically terminated. It is unusually lustrous and has a translucent skin over the yellow beryl core. The prism faces on this specimen are classically well developed. An East Coast clssic, although hard to come by today. 215 grams
