Beryl is one of those gems that you can find in large examples as the rough can be found in large, blocky gem "chunks" which yield impressive faceted stones. This particular gem is a very pale blue (Aquamarine) color Beryl with a traditional "Emerald Step" cut. The stone is remarkably clean considering it weighs over 50 carats, as I can only see VERY very slight inclusions with the naked eye. This is a collector's stone to be sure, but it could also be the centerpiece of an extravagant pendant.
