Item Description
Bertrandite is not often seen in good display quality specimens, but Kara-Oba had the distinction of producing some fine Bertrandites (a rare beryllium species) in the early 1990s. These pieces were short-lived and quickly disappeared from the market. This is a good quality example of featuring attractive, well-formed, beige colored, "fan"-shaped Bertrandite groups measuring up to 1. cm sitting atop Quartz, with minor Pyrite. A very attractive and hard to find association specimen from about 30 years ago, the likes of which we probably will not see again. No damage that I can see, and very attractive in person up close. Good crystallized Bertrandites are not common, and certainly worthwhile for anybody who collects rare minerals in good display quality specimens.
Ex Colin Manlove collection.
