Item Description

Individual bertrandite specimens are quite rare from this well-known Kazakhstan locale, noted for fine creedite specimens and the striking, small one-time find in the early 1990s of fluorapatite, fluorite and bertrandite specimens. This nifty and sculptural thumbnail is composed of perpendicular to angular clusters of glassy, colorless, tranparent to translucent, parallel-growth tabular crystals of bertrandite. The crystals have very interesting interior growth features. Ex Herb Obodda dealer stock and probably dates to the early 1990s find. Very rare in this style.
