Bertrandite on smoky quartz specimens are RARE from this well-known Kazakhstan locale, noted for fine creedite specimens and the striking, small one-time find in the early 1990s of fluorapatite, fluorite and bertrandite specimens. This exceptional and aesthetic miniature has a myriad of gemmy, colorless bertrandite crystals to 1.2 cm (DT) strikingly clustered on two intergrown gemmy, sharply terminated, smoky quartz crystals. Complete all-around and essentially pristine. A facinating, superb and rare combination from the Herb Obodda dealer stock and probably dates to the early 1990s find. Herb valued this cutie at $400, more than 5 years ago. Valued today at $600-800.
