Item Description

A very rarely seen specimen of Bertossaite from the type locality in Rwanda. This species is the calcium analogue of Palermoite (which can be found a couple specimens back in this very auction) and is named after Antonio Bertossa, Director of the Geological Survey of Rwanda. This piece features pale pinkish Bertossaite with minor bluish Trolleite in host rock matrix. You don't see many of these on the market, and it's certainly worth picking up for a systematic collector since it's only found in a few localities around the world.
