Some of the finest examples of the uncommon Fe-Sb sulfosalt, berthierite, come from the famous and historic mines of Maramures County, Romania. This rich and showy tapered specimen of solid elongated terminated acicular dark metallic-gray crystals is beautifully accented with a variable iridescent tarnish, giving the piece much color and character.
