Benitoite & Neptunite on Natrolite Ex Sinotte & Stewart Coll.

Item Description

This fine combination plate from the Dallas Gem Mine has awesome aesthetics. The centrally placed 1.4 cm benitoite crystal is artistically flanked by the two enechelon, doubly terminated neptunite crystals to 2.1 cm. Smaller neptunites and the snow-white natrolite-covered serpentine matrix are fine compliments. The indigo-blue benitoite has textook form, high luster and is partially gemmy. This is classic, very fine, older material, hard to obtain now with the closing of the mine, except at "future pricing" sometimes. This piece was formerly in the collection of Steve Sinotte and his wife, the glass artist, Rebecca Stewart. valued $1250
