A 1985 reprint of the two classic benitoite papers by G.D. Louderback in 1907, Benitoite, A New California Gem Mineral and 1909, Benitoite, Its Paragenesis And Mode Of Occurrence. The 1907 paper is 5 pages and the 1909 paper is 50 pages plus 3 plate explanations. Benitoite was designated as the official California State Gemstone in 1985. Comes with a real copy of the 1977 article from the Mineralogical Record, Minerals of the Benitoite Gem Mine. Excellent condition.
